It makes me sad when I get online in today's world and see almost nothing but butthurts and trolls and people being so obnoxiously rude to one another because of differentiating opinions.

I just want to put my two cents in, and I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, but here's my (gasp!) opinion on this matter.

It is not worth it to lurk around someone's YouTube video comments, someone's writing, someone's profile...just to see what their likes and dislikes are, and then blatantly flame them like a goddamn volcano with your own opinions just to start a fight. It's immature, childish, and just plain annoying.

Here's the thing, people...

Not everyone is going to be an avid supporter of MLP.

Not everyone will think the new Pokemon generation that was just announced is the greatest thing to walk the earth.

Not everyone is going to like your writing.

Not everyone is going to like your art.

Not everyone will believe that Hetalia is the best anime in the universe because of the sexually attractive countries.

Not everyone will like PewDiePie, Toby, Nova, Cry, etc., over one or the other.

Not everyone is going to share your religious beliefs.

Still, knowing this, it makes me incredibly sad when I see so many fights start out just by one simple little comment. I feel like my generation is full of nothing but butthurts and trolls, ready and waiting to crush any sense of dignity and originality certain people have.

Yes, I have different opinions, just like everyone else. And while I would love nothing more than to perhaps flame someone whose take on something because they offended me, I know it's better to just move on and forget. I wouldn't want to put myself into a situation where so many people rose up against me and completely annihilated my reasoning because they didn't agree with whatever simple comment I may have made. Immersing myself in the crossfire of contempt and scorn is not a way I would like to spend my Saturday evening.

Letting the butthurts and trolls out there get to you is NOT worth it.

Wouldn't you rather pride yourself in being the mature and civilized person who looked at the flame war happening right on your screen, and instead of letting yourself get involved, you just went on your merry way?

Maybe not everyone since I suspect a great many people who participate in flame wars truly find it entertaining and worthwhile, but I think I have made a point here.

Basically what I'm trying to say is this:

Use common sense the next time you want to call someone out for having an opinion that is not the same as yours. Yes, perhaps they themselves are executing their thoughts in a very rude mannerism--but does that mean you have to degrade yourself to their level and do the same? I don't think so.

Maybe if more people had a better sense of judgement when it came to these types of circumstances, the Internet would be a much friendlier place. I really am growing tired of seeing so much hatred and abhorrence that people throw against one another. I know it's not going to stop any time soon, but I really do wish people would just think before they acted.

Well, that's all I wanted to say. Thank you for your time if you read this. I really hope I'm not the only one out there who has this opinion.
