seventeen years &
still chasing white rabbits,
it's no wonder i've never
been in love.

we're all mad here;
no one can find the road to
yesterday.

(i don't know
where to go)

let's fall down a hole.

(i'm just a chrysalis
with no butterfly wings)

off with my head when it
can only imagine nonsense
& clockwork hearts.

give me a cheshire's smile-
i want to know
what it feels like
to be in wonderland.
Alice in Wonderland will forever be a favorite of mine.

I like how this turned out.

I really would like comments on this one - it's actually very personal, and about something that I keep dwelling on.

I love Alice in Wonderland too~. Mainly because it's just so chaotic... Well to me it is... Ah well.

Woah. I can relate to this 100%... Love, love, love it. And Alice in Wonderland is just...<3 Especially the Cheshire smile thing. And, well, all of it. Definitely going straight to favorites.

Gosh I do love your poetry. I hope maybe you'll feel the same about mine, though I haven't submitted much yet. I look forward to reading and favoring more of your work.

Oh my goodness, that ending! It has a lot of power and impact, it is beautifully written all the way through. When I was a child I would watch many Alice in Wonderland movies, and read the book over and over. I really love this poem, it reminded me so much of my childhood and my love for Alice in Wonderland. I really like this, well done.

Again, big comment. /crais

Wonderland has always been a part of me. I see myself as a proverbial Alice. And really, I don't think I'll ever grow out of it, even when I'm swiftly leaving childhood.

This actually hurts my soul.

That feeling of wanting to disconnect, wanting to be part of something better, want to be part of something you create, a fantasy. Because they're always so much better, aren't they?

It speaks to me. You just don't understand how hard this hits home. Seriously.

This is a lovely piece. I like the slightly "off-kilter" feeling it gives, as though Wonderland itself is seeping into your words. :+fav:
