Oh my gosh, I have finally written something pertaining to my namesake (well, the latter half of it) on this website.
My favorite person in mythology. Persephone (Kore by the Romans), daughter of the goddess of the harvest, Demeter, and wife to Hades; kidnapped by said god of the Underworld, tricked by the gardener to eat the single seed of a pomegranate; and rescued by her mother so she spends the summers up on earth and the winters down with Hades. I could go in depth, since I know the legend by heart, but I will spare you the major details.
You have no idea how much I love her. I wish I could have lived in ancient Greece, just to become a devout follower of her. She's a role model of mine, to be truthful.
But this little poem does not do Persephone justice. However, it was the only thing I could come up with. I just wanted to at last show my love for her; maybe someday I'll make a better piece dedicated to The Maiden.
I think you did a lovely job for her~
