Words have become
tasteless to me,
I'm afraid—
like rotten apples
fit for the worms.

Quite frankly,
it feels as
though I am
dancing without
glass slippers;
pirouetting my way through
a ballroom full of
tongues made for poetry.

Where's a
wicked witch when
you need one?
All I seem to do is
dream while I'm awake and,
if we're being honest,
I was never much of an alluring tale
in the first place.
So basically I've been spending way too much time watching Once Upon a Time videos and I felt like actually trying to write and this piece of crap came out but it's better than nothing so have a poem about writer's block and fairytales alluding to one another.

Hmm, I never realized that watching fairy tales and the like could help with writer's block. I'll have to remember that next time I don't want to write.

Also, I like how you tried to incorperate the three fairy tales into your poem, though I mostly like the intentional (or accidental?) contrast between the happiness of a fairy tale and the negativity of your words.

Gah! This is gorgeous! At first, the breaks between sentences bothered me, but now I think it adds to the erratic essence of the poem. I liked the wicked witch reference, very ironic.

*busts through your front door* YOU'RE
*screams at your cat* TOTALLY
*Frying pans your mom* AN
*Vulcan nerve pinches your dad* ALLURING
*Busts into your room* TALE

And just because something's not your best doesn't mean it's crap. Especially when dealing with writers block.

Like do you ever look at your writing heroes' work and see they're all like "Oh god this is crap why did I make this?" and you're all like "WTF this is great what are you talking about I would kill to be able to make something like this."

You're that person to someone. Even at your worst. Which I wouldn't even say this is because it's not.

You hold on to that.

Also I've finally caught up on once upon a time and I actually think peter pan is attractive. Not as much as Hook, of course, but still. Fun fact.
